This year’s Lion’s Roar Presents BuddhaFest online festival embraces the theme of The Unshakable Heart: Buddhist Wisdom for Finding Peace in Troubled Times, and features ten films selected by our Buddhist Film Channel that relate to engaged Buddhism. BuddhaFest runs July 13–August 23 and includes thirteen talks by leading teachers.
The film program comes from nine nations: Buddha’s Lost Children (The Netherlands/Thailand), Dear Earth (The Netherlands), Into the Heart of the Mountain (The Netherlands, Nepal); My Life Is My Message (The Netherlands), Never Give Up: The Heart of Compassion (India), Raising the Ashes (USA), Sense of Urgency (The Netherlands), Shugendo Now (Canada/Japan), Tzu Chi: Doing Good in the World (The Netherlands/Taiwan), Walk with Me (UK), and feature Thich Nhat Hanh, Roshi Joan Halifax, Bernie Glassman, Master Cheng Yen, Peter Matthiessen, the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa Orgen Trinley Dorje, Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Matthieu Ricard, Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo, Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, Sister Chân Không, and Extinction Rebellion members.
The talks are by Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, Trudy Goodman & Jack Kornfield, Roshi Joan Halifax, Michael Imperioli, Gaylon Ferguson, Peter Coyote, Sharon Suh, Qalvy Grainzvolt, Sharon Salzberg, Kaira Jewel Lingo, Matthieu Ricard, Stephen Bachelor, and Rick Hanson.
