Five films from the recent IBFF 2013 VANCOUVER will be screened in Victoria, British Columbia, co-presented by the Victoria Film Festival (VFF) at their Vic Theatre, October 8-12, 2013.
The films are Digital Dharma (USA), by Dafna Yachin (October 8), Shugendo Now (Canada/Japan), by Mark Patrick McGuire and Jean-Marc Abela (October 9) Amongst White Clouds (Canada/China), by Edward A. Burger (October 10), Crazy Wisdom (USA), by Johanna Demetrakas (October 11) and When the Iron Bird Flies (USA), by Victress Hitchcock (October 12). All screenings begin at 7:00 pm. The filmmakers are expected to participate in post-screening Q&As via Skype, and IBFF Executive Director Gaetano Maida will introduce each film, also via Skype.
VFF festival programer M. Donovan Aikman said that “The Vic Theatre is a 400 seat treasure of Victoria and the VFF are delighted to now have it as our year-round venue. We are extremely pleased to host the IBFF program as part of our first month of presentations.”
