This year’s edition of T.H.I.S. Film Festival Singapore/Malaysia will be online only, streaming September 5–13, 2020. Featuring eight films from six nations, the festival will host live Q&As with filmmakers.
The films stream only to viewers in Singapore and Malaysia, but the live Q&As are available worldwide. Some of the titles will migrate to US streaming platforms later this year.
The festival this year was curated with the themes of Buddhist masters, facing death, and activism. This year’s event also includes a program of Singapore Shorts. “It is our wish to showcase more local productions in future,” says festival director Teo Puay Kim.
T.H.I.S. Film Festival was launched in 2009 by Dharma In Action Ltd., and is committed to the Buddhist community of Singapore. International Buddhist Film Festival (IBFF) was successfully presented in Singapore in 2007 and continues to share programming information.
